Ethics and Professional Conduct is an online self-directed course equivalent to 45 classroom hours. It is the 6th course in the sequence required for completing course requirements for certification as a BCBA in accordance with Task list 4, in addition to other requirements for certification. As a candidate moves through the program, competencies are presented and then tested. This course ensures a solid understanding of BACB’s Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts. Students will also develop skills and knowledge in the area of consultation using a behavioral, problem-solving model; and necessary components of supervision and management of behavior analysis services in accordance with the BACB’s Supervisor Training Curriculum will be learned.
Method of DeliveryOnline, self paced, competency tested course
Method of Evaluation: Students must complete all lessons for each course and attain 90% or higher average on probes (Quizzes), exams, and online activities. “Probes” are based upon content of the prior few classes and are not inclusive of material in other areas.
Class Policies: Students are required to participate in the online courses and complete all activities and quizzes based on the 90% or higher performance criterion. A Course Certificate will be given contingent upon 80% average mastery of exams, compliance to attendance policy, and full payment of all tuition and/or fees.
