AboutThis course provides an overview of Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), which has been identified as one of the Best Practice for helping children with Autism develop new skills. The course provides a review of the different components that make up Discrete Trial Teaching and provides guidelines for implementation to assist educators with putting this approach into practice. Important issues related to generalizing skills are reviewed to ensure teaching efforts lead to the student’s use of emerging skills in their typical interactions with others.
